About Gina-Marie "Netjera" Hammer

Gina-Marie "Netjera" Hammer was 7 years old when her Dad took her to the computer lab at his college. She grew up through the years of remote terminals, and the first appearance of video games, and was hooked on such classics as King's Quest, Ultima Underworld and Leisure Suit Larry.

While living in Virginia, Gina-Marie taught computer software, and worked technical support for various companies to put herself through college. She completed 4 years of a 5 year program for educators, before changing laws made the program defunct, and she was forced to switch majors. She studied writing, art, theatre and lighting; and worked for graphic arts companies for several years before moving to North Carolina.

Gina-Marie finished school in 1999 with a degree in accounting, and enough credits in education and english to qualify for a minor. During that same year, she was diagnosed with chronic illnesses and was only able to remain in the workforce another 2 years. Searching for a way to work from home, she began learning about programming and the software industry. In 2002, she developed the idea for a very specialized virtual world, and began her first foray into the world of game development. She has since studied business, marketing, design, programming and art; and in 2004, the idea for Pharaoh's Frenzy was born.
