This interview with Jez Harris of Relentless Software is both humorous and insightful.  A game designer really *does* have to wear multiple hats; and even though we believe this to be unique to independent games, even people working for EA don’t always know what they’ll be doing.  Harris also discusses his work on the “Catwoman” video game of 2004, highlighting that sometimes a designer knows a game is going to be bad, but their hands are tied anyways.
